The relatively o short Ni-Bi- (3.18A) and Ni-Sb-interatomic distances inducing a metallic character of Sb and Bi are highly relevant in this context. The distances and the corresponding metal-sulfur-polyhedra are close to those in hauchecornite, Ni9(Sb,Bi)2S 8 (Glagoleva and Zdanov, 1954), in which Sb-Bi-substitution is also possible.
