Coal mining projects – Coal 2020 – Analysis
In September 2020, Pembroke was granted mining leases for the Olive Downs coking coal project, allowing project construction to start. First coal from the AUD 1 billion opencast mine is expected in 2022. The first stage has an expected production rate of 4.5 Mtpa of met coal.
