In an attempt to prepare a concentrate high in platinum and palladium values and low in gangue minerals, tests were made to investigate the use of a water-soluble polymer (Hercules Minflo I) gangue depressant in the rougher circuit. By using 0.06 lb Minflo I per ton of ore, concentrates containing 2.4 oz/ton Pt and 12.3 oz/ton Pd were prepared.
